Natalie Goldberg Reads From "The True Secret of Writing"

Poet, painter, teacher and writer Natalie Goldberg will read from her book “The True Secret of Writing” at the Central Library. “The True Secret of Writing” encapsulates the writing and life practices Goldberg has been teaching in her workshops for 40 years. Goldberg is the author of 12 books, including her classic, “Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within,” and “Old Friends From Far Away: The Practice of Writing Memoir.” She lives in Santa Fe, N.M. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

This event is supported by The Seattle Public Library Foundation, author series sponsor Gary Kunis and media sponsor The Seattle Times. It is presented in partnership with The Elliott Bay Book Co. Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $5 after 5 p.m. Auditorium doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
