Earth Day Work Party at Cavanaugh Pond

Calendar/Event Details

Celebrate Earth Day along the Cedar River with King County Parks and Friends of the Cedar River Watershed! Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area contains over 40 acres of important habitat for wildlife, including bald eagles and spawning salmon! Come explore the walking trails, beautiful beaches and keep an eye out for wildlife. In honor of Earth Day, volunteers will help to restore the site’s diversity by removing blackberries in preparation for planting in fall. A Cedar River Salmon Journey Naturalist will also be joining us to provide an interpretive program of the site and the salmon that call the river home.

9 a.m.-1 p.m.
