Stacy Brewer, a teacher, urban farmer and author of the blog, Seattle Seedling, is offering a hands-on gardening class and luncheon on her urban farm. Students will learn techniques for square foot gardening, seed sowing and strategies for thinning and transplanting new seedlings. This class will be an awesome confidence booster for beginning gardeners, whether you have a large garden or just a few containers on the balcony. All seeds and seedlings will be planted in Brewer's giving garden, which will produce food to be donated to local food banks. Also, students will go home with a goody bag, which will include seeds from Seattle Seed Company. Sign up by emailing Stacy at Seattleseedling@gmail.com.
