Kids and teens, this is your chance to audition for Summer Youth Academy and Teen Summer Academy. These are five- and six-week (respectively) summer programs focused on learning the fundamentals of voice through written and spoken word, acting through story and improvisation, movement and dance (jazz, modern and ballet), simple costuming and set design while highlighting the history of great African American artists. Students will showcase their skills in a culminating performance on stage!
Summer Academy dates: July 9 to August 10 (5 weeks) for ages 6-12. Tuesday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.– 4 p.m. Fee: $235. Teen Summer Academy dates: July 9 to August 18 (6 weeks) for ages 13-18. Tuesday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Fee: $165.
