Connecting the Dots: School Safety in Action

The Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools is happy to announce "Connecting the Dots", a free one-day school safety training bringing together educators, first responders, parents, students, mental health professionals and survivor advocates. The day will focus on resiliency following mass violence, school recovery and community safety.

For parents, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn, network, and be better equipped to understand your school's protocols.

Speakers include:

Frank DeAngelis: Retired principal of Columbine High School, Littleton, CO

Kristina Anderson: Founder of the Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools, injured survivor of the 2007 school shooting on the Virginia Tech campus

Lisa Hamp: School safety advocate and writer, survivor of the 2007 Virginia Tech school shooting

Courtenay McCarthy, School Psychologist in student threat assessment and management, Salem-Keizer Public Schools, Oregon
