For the first time in 35 years, we will pause our August 6 in-person lantern floating ceremony honoring victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and all victims of war.

From Hiroshima to Hope (FHTH) sadly announces cancellation of our in-person event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please join From Hiroshima to Hope in marking the 75th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August with these 2 projects:

Please view this moving film here and on our Facebook page -- featuring performances and readings by Troy Osaki, Seattle Kokon Taiko, Nikki Nojima Louis and Carletta Carrington Wilson. The film also includes interviews with hibakusha, atomic bombing survivors, and traditional koto music by Marcia Takamura, and shakuhachi flute by James Jennings, along with beautiful images of candle-lit lanterns floating on Green Lake.
