"The Self-Driven Child" - Online Event with Authors Ned Johnson and Bill Stixrud, PhD
Learn how to foster resilience in our children and teens, set them on the real road to success and help them stay the course through these uncertain times.
Join Raising Resilience for a live virtual event* featuring nationally-recognized experts: Willium Stixrud, Ph.D. - clinical neuropsychologist who helps kids gripped by anxiety or struggling to learn; and Ned Johnson - motivational coach who runs an elite tutoring service. They are also co-authors of the best-selling book "THE SELF-DRIVEN CHILD" - as featured on NPR and in Scientific American, the Washington Post.
Through their work with thousands of teens and children over the years, and scientific research review, they have discovered that the best antidote to stress that also helps kids reach their full potential is to give them more of a sense of control over their lives. Find how to get there without giving up your authority as a parent.
The speakers will offer practical tips for caregivers of different age groups (Kindergarten through High School) and they will address timely questions during a Q&A session.

“Compelling, revolutionary, and wise, The Self-Driven Child empowers parents with the courage, the tools, and the mindset to reduce toxic stress, and to foster our child’s capacity for resilience, success, and optimal development. Its message – that we should trust kids to have more control over their lives – is one every parent needs to hear.” – Tina Payne Bryson, Phd (co-author of "The Whole-Brain Child" and "The Power of Showing Up")
