Star Wars Reads Day at Bonney Lake Library

Calendar/Event Details

Calling all Star Wars fans from galaxies far, far away, to come to Bonney Lake Pierce County Library on Saturday, Oct. 7, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and join millions of Star Wars fans world-wide in the sixth annual Star Wars Reads event. The event will unleash The Force and unite Stormtroopers and Jedis of all ages.

“Star Wars Reads encourages people around the world to experience Star Wars through books,” said Pierce County Library Executive Director Georgia Lomax. “We hope these events will create a love of reading in all Jedis in training and help more people realize that every book is an adventure.”

The Bonney Lake Library event aligns with Pierce County Library’s Strategic Plan goal to foster a love of reading throughout our communities and inspire curiosity and imagination.

Each year organizations offer more than 2,000 Star Wars Reads events around the globe. In 2012 Lucasfilm and its publishing partners — Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, DK Publishing, Klutz, Random House Audio, Scholastic and Workman Publishing—launched the reading event.

Friends of the Bonney Lake Library sponsor this free event.
