Acrobatic Conundrum returns to the stage at 12th Avenue Arts for their fourth winter residency to debut two new shows. First up is their cabaret, Vol. 8: Circus Foretold, which features a bounty of acrobatic talent including Conundrum mainstays Emma Curtiss and Melissa Knowles, as well as new-to-Conundrum talent. Teatro Zinzanni veterans Duo Madrona, Elena Gatilova, and Domitil Aillot will be returning to the stage in post-pandemic premieres. For those unfamiliar with contemporary circus, Acrobatic Conundrum features virtuosic circus acts such as trapeze, vertical rope, and handbalancing, but in an intimate, expressive context. As the title suggests, this variété is the eighth edition of the company’s annual acrobatics-smorgasbord. In Vol. 8, there will be no shortage of flips, somersaults, and twists of fate. Appropriate for all ages. 70 minutes.
