You really know how to pick ’em: The ‘beary’ best in the Pacific Northwest
We don’t mean to be presumptuous, but can we speak for you, our fellow PNW parents? If you’re like us, you may be feeling beyond parched, figuratively speaking. We’re staring down a third school year (!) beset by pandemic uncertainties and existential fears. Our coping mechanisms are overtaxed, and we are all suffering from being necessarily disconnected from many of the outlets and resources that define our unique experience of parenting children in the Pacific Northwest.
In the BPT (Before-Pandemic Times), the ParentMap team delighted in inviting our smart, discerning readers to vote in the annual Golden Teddy Awards. Soon after the pandemic grounded us at home in the spring of 2020, we made the decision to temporarily suspend our readers’ choice vote. A year later, still in quasi-lockdown, we made the same game-time call.
From where we’re sitting today, we decided it would be a good idea to take a look back over the most recent years of recorded awards outcomes to tabulate and remind you of the amazing, top-vote-getting faves you have turned to for years to help raise your family. We are devastated that a number of your go-to award winners and finalists from years past did not survive the coronavirus crisis.
