Founded in 2010, the Big Backyard 5K, also known as the BBY5K, is a community-run/walk
showcasing King County Parks regional trails. Proceeds from the BBY5K benefit King County Parks, supporting maintenance and operations of facilities and recreational resources. With your help over the years, we have raised more than $250,000!
The 2021 Big Backyard 5K Festival takes place on three Sundays in June showcasing three different regional trails in Your Big Backyard. Or you can join us virtually in your neighborhood, on the trail, or on a treadmill to support King County Parks!
June 6 – Marymoor Connector Trail, Marymoor Park, Redmond
June 13 – Snoqualmie Valley Trail, Tolt MacDonald Park, Carnation
June 20 – Green to Cedar River Trail, Lake Wilderness Park, Maple Valley
June 6 – June 20 – Virtual 5K presented by Kaiser Permanente (run/walk and submit your results anytime between 6/6-6/20)
