Join us Saturday, Aug. 23, as our city comes alive with a full day of music, entertainment and hometown spirit in celebration of Algona’s 70th Anniversary.
The excitement kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with the parade down First Avenue, leading the way to a day packed with activities:
Live Music All Day – Dueling Crooners, Danny Vernon & the Devilles, and Cosmic Vinyl will keep the energy high.
Old McDebbie’s Petting Zoo (11 a.m.–2 p.m.) for hands-on fun with furry friends.
Balloon twisting, face painting and glitter tattoos for the kids (and the young at heart!).
Game truck (11 a.m.–2 p.m.) and inflatables (11 a.m.–4 p.m.) for nonstop play.
Blue Heron Express Train Rides (noon–3 p.m.) for a scenic tour of the fun.
Splash Zone (3–4 p.m.) — cool off with water-filled fun!
Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Drill (3:45 p.m.) – thrilling stunts you won’t want to miss.
Watermelon eating contest and cake walk – sweet treats and silly competition!
Beer Garden by Coco Joe’s for those 21 and older to relax and enjoy.
Food tTrucks and vendors all day long to keep you fueled for the festivities.
From the morning parade to the last song in the park, Algona Day promises laughter, music and memories for all ages.
