Earth Day Celebration at Shadow Lake Nature Preserve

The Earth Day celebration is a kid-friendly event with plenty of fun educational activities, exclusive raffle prizes, a native plant sale, and free, pre-packaged snacks and beverages! Only 50 spaces are available for each time slot—so don’t miss out!

April 23rd, 1 – 5:30 pm; 80-minute time slots at 1-2:20 p.m., 2:20 -3:50 p.m., and 4-5:20 p.m.

$5 per person (children under 4 are free!)

There will be a fun and educational scavenger hunt along the Bog Boardwalk Trail for the kids to enjoy, along with other crafts and activities. Snacks and beverages will be provided, including scoops of dairy-free, vegan ice cream from Frankie & Jo's! And don't miss the native plant sale starting at just $5 per plant!

The event is outdoors with a couple of activities taking place in our Education Center, which is a converted garage. Both garage doors will be open and the garage is well-ventilated. Masks are optional and encouraged. All event staff and volunteers will be wearing masks. High-touch surfaces will be sanitized between each time slot, and sanitizer will be available throughout the event.
