KCLS Online Program: Baking with Miss Bekka-Best Banana Bread

Are you craving a sweet treat to make your day a little extra special? Join us as we make our own homemade banana bread! Let’s stir up some fun in the kitchen together!

Please have all of the ingredients ready to go so we can do this activity together promptly at 1:15pm. Please preheat your oven to 350F if you want to eat your banana bread as soon as possible!

Ingredients
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
3 1/2 bananas, very ripe, mashed
2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt or creme fraiche or sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped (optional)
butter to grease loaf pan or parchment paper 
Supplies
2 Mixing bowls
small bowl (cracking eggs)
Mixing spoon
Butter knife (flattening ingredients in measuring cups)
fork (mashing bananas)
liquid measuring cup
1/2 cup measuring cup (pouring dry ingredients into measuring cups)
1 cup measuring cup
Tablespoon
teaspoon 
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1/3  or 2/3 cup measuring cup
9x5 loaf pan 
parchment paper (optional)
