BabyMap - About Us, Fall 2008

Published on: November 28, 2008

Oh, baby!

Here at ParentMap, we have babies on the brain. The two dozen crazy-fun moms and dads who bring you this special issue have had a few dozen between us. Our staff meetings are often squirming with diaper monsters. And when we’re not around 'em, we’re thinking about 'em.

We know that baby of yours is taking you on a wild ride. Don’t worry, we’ve got the 'Map! Read on for some seriously useful news — from how to start a moms’ group, to potty training your baby (yes, really!) . . . from breast health to blogging about that little bundle of chaos and joy — it’s all here! Need a little support? We’ve got a comprehensive listing of Essential Resources, and a huge, searchable database of resources for new parents at ParentMap.

Besides BabyMap, we publish ParentMap each month, in print and online. With a focus on education and health, and an eye on the courts and the environment, we bring you news that’s important to families. Toy recalls? Check. Cool new gear and book reviews? Check. Award-winning travel and Out and About coverage? Check. And check out our weekly e-newsletter, packed with fun happenings for families with kids of all ages.

We’re also the people who bring you the award-winning Family Directory (searchable online), LearningMap, SummerMap and, new this year, HealthMap and PartyMap. But our quest to hook you up with the info you need doesn’t stop there: Every year, we play host to a “who’s who” of parenting pros and bring them to you in our Pathways Lecture Series. We host preschool preview nights in King and Pierce counties, and ParentMap's wildly successful LearningMap Education Fair.

We never stop working to find new ways to make your parenting journey easier. Having this much fun and calling it work may not seem right — but we’re passionate about our commitment to you, dear reader. We hope you find BabyMap interesting, fun, and useful. Please tell us what you think. Write to us at editor@parentmap.com.
