Diaper Bags

Essentials

Water — At the risk of sounding like a survivalist, I highly recommend that you should have a gallon of water tucked inside your spare tire at all times. You just never know when you’ll get stuck on the side of the highway.

Disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer — With the current COVID-19 pandemic, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are a must. After every outing, whether it be a playground or the supermarket, ensure that you use your trusty hand sanitizer.

Deodorized diaper bags — You don’t have to have a baby to appreciate a deodorized bag that can contain a shirt that’s been saturated with vomit. The last thing you need after dealing with a car-sick kid is to smell the evidence all the way to your destination and the nearest washing machine.

Sunscreen — Pick a sunscreen that will work for your whole family and store an extra bottle in your car. You’ll use it for an impromptu stop — playground, splash pad, lake — or when you’ve totally planned to pack sunscreen and somehow still forgot.
