Get your ice cream on this summer

Published on: December 30, 2013

A few weeks ago I was wearing jeans and a jacket, sipping hot tea as my kids played in the backyard. But July is upon us and it is finally possible to conceive of consuming things that are cold.

Since every rational person I know loves ice cream, I’ve gathered a few interesting ice-cream-centric products to help you make the most of the summer we almost didn't believe would come.

Cuisipro Ice Cream Scoop and Stack

Yeah, it’s a little whimsical and silly, but who wouldn’t want to eat their ice cream stacked? And I hear it cuts through the coldest, hardest Ben and Jerry's with a simple twist and lift. $14.95

Eco-Friendly Ice Cream/Sorbet Maker

Whip up natural, soft-serve ice cream or elegant sorbet in 20 minutes using the Donvier ice cream maker. It depends only on manpower and a few choice ingredients. And, a nod to those of us who can't have actual dairy, the Donvier can be used to make vegan ice cream as well. $52.95

Scented Ice Cream Bubbles

Oops, don’t eat these. They’re just for play. But if your kids are like mine, they love anything related to sweets. Hours of mint, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla-scented fun. $3 each.

Ice cream cone pan

Like the idea of ice cream but you’re more of a cake person? With Wilton’s ice cream cone-shaped pan, you can concoct a delicious looking (and tasting) cake that the whole family will want to lick (Ew). $12.99

Chef’s Choice Ice Cream Cone Holder

This always happens to me: I’m scooping ice cream cones for the family and, once I'm finished, have nowhere to set them. Introducing the ice cream cone holder. $14.

Now go on out and have a delicious summer!
