Getting your Frugal on

Published on: December 30, 2013

I've never been very good at Frugality. I mean, I'm not terrible. I don't buy $500 handbags or $170 jeans. But I will sweep several little treats into my cart on a pass through Target or Fred Meyer. I do buy organic, high quality food and good, expensive shoes for my kids.

Which is to say, my husband makes a decent income and I have NO problem spending most of it.

I recently ran across a handful of sites to help us figure out what we really need to buy as parents (or as people for that matter) and what we can do without (diaper bag that converts to baby changer, anyone? Yeah, never even clipped the tags off that one before I sold it on ebay.)

Baby Steals

Thrifty Mommy

Baby Cheapskate

Frugal Village

(This last one lists deals, sales and coupon codes and, from it, I've found a few gems for next nothing.)
