Scary movies and kids: Parents, think twice!
It took me one second to decline this invitation on my daughter's behalf: A teen party featuring screenings of "The Exorcist" and "The Blair Witch Project." While apparently fine for some 14-year-olds, slasher/horror flicks just aren't for my girl. Lucky for me, she knows it, and didn't put up a fight.
But plenty of kids won't speak up when scariness gets to be too much - until nightmares or troubling thoughts pop up. Some kids like to be scared - but only so much. Some kids are really too young to separate fantasy from reality. And some kids just don't need extra ugly images implanted into their little growing brains.Google+
