A child’s brain will grow biologically along with the rest of his body--but science shows that for a child’s brain to develop and thrive, environmental conditions play a vital role and emotional stability at home is the single greatest predictor of a child’s academic success. Dr. Medina, renowned author of Brain Rules, and Dr. Bell, President and CEO of Casey Family Programs, will discuss the impact of stress and trauma on the developing brain and their implications for social and educational outcomes for foster kids. This event is presented by Amara, Casey Family Programs, Town Hall and Treehouse.
