This year for Mother’s Day, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is honoring gun violence victims and their families, and empowering American moms to demand that their rights as mothers “shall not be infringed.” There are walks and events around the nation. In Seattle, moms (and families) will gather at Cal Anderson Park for a rally and family fun. The lineup includes a steel drum musician, blank cards for individuals to fill out and send to their legislators, lots of 'Moms Demand Action' swag (i.e. water bottles, t shirts, buttons, bumper stickers, etc.) and the opportunity to ask questions, speak with Moms Demand Action, learn about local and national progress on gun legislation and how to get more involved. Cal Anderson has a great playground for kids, so it will be a family friendly event!
