Calendar/Event Details

Poop. We all do it; from birds to worms to humans. Come to Brightwater Center and join IslandWood and King County as we explore the world of poop and the science behind it. We’ll search for the poop of the coyotes, deer, rabbits, and otters that live at Brightwater and learn how even when we don’t see wildlife, we can find evidence of their presence. The Scoop on Poop is free, but pre-registration is advised. This event is part of the 2013 Seattle Science Festival – visit http://seattlesciencefestival.org/ for more information.

(Tours of the state-of-the-art Brightwater Treatment Facility will also be available at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. for ages 9 and up only. Pre-registration required for treatment plant tours at: http://green.kingcounty.gov/wastewater-education/apptrequest.aspx.)
