The King County Fire & Life Safety Association hosts the 16th Annual King County Fire Department Kids' Day. The Museum's Parking Lot turns into a colorful carnival of big trucks and the friendly firefighters who use them. Kids of all ages can climb aboard the fire equipment on display and meet the men and women who always come to the rescue. Special guests include Smokey Bear. Participants include many of the local fire departments and rescue units with their trucks, boats, cruisers and helicopters. The Safety Zone will teach children safety skills, while providing adults with life-saving information. Free fire fighter caps and badges for the kids.
