Healing the Child in all of Us: Creating Resilience Through Relationships

Calendar/Event Details

Resilience and Relationships are two important aspects across the lifespan, and ensuring that these are strong starting in childhood both seem more critical to our collective future than ever before.

On this interactive day, Gina Lebedeva PhD, CCC-SLP and Deborah Peterson will guide an exploration of the intersections of modern neuroscience, classic human bonding, and the future of education around resilience.

During this event, we will create time and space to not only celebrate all that we do to foster these, but we will go deeper to discover new perspectives and connections, through safe but brave discussion and interactive learning. We will draw from various disciplines & materials around research, case studies, and from each other, using guided discovery that parallels the Montessori method.

-6 STARS Credits / 6 Clock Hours are available!

-Doors will open at 8:30am for registration and coffee networking.

-Coffee and Refreshments are included with registration and will be served in the morning.

3. Identify current or potential practices in your capacity that align with the Five Protective Factors for Strengthening Families framework.

4. With specific children or families in mind, appraise practices in your community or workplace that are consistent with compassionate-based (trauma-sensitive) approaches.

5. Generate an action plan based on today’s materials or resources to address a perceived barrier with a child, family, or staff member, to further support their goals or unmet needs around resilience.
