Calendar/Event Details

Come down to Lake Union Park and the Historic Ships Wharf to join in the fun of the 5th Annual Classic Workboat Show organized by Northwest Seaport. You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind experience to visit and tour classic and modern working boats including tugboats, fishing boats, training vessels, research vessels, and ex-military vessels! All ages are welcome.

ABOUT
For over 50 years Northwest Seaport has been dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of maritime heritage of the Puget Sound and the Northwest Coast. Current projects involve the restoration of two National Historic Landmark ships exhibited at Lake Union Park; the tugboat Arthur Foss (1889) and Lightship. No 83 Swiftsure (1904) and now the operation of Seattle’s newest museum ship, the fishing boat Tordenskjold (1911).

Our efforts contribute to the development of maritime-based educational programs and opportunities for the community. Every year we welcome 16,000 visitors aboard our ships and students from across the Puget Sound region come to attend our special school group tours, hands-on career training days, or become interns working under our staff and marine trades contractors. We also offer the much beloved Tugboat Storytime, which draws almost 1,000 toddlers and parents every year, a popular monthly maritime sea song and chantey program, and the Classic Workboat Show, Northwest Seaport’s signature event.
