Let’s admit it, communicating can be challenging.
Spend the evening with us online delving into the positive purposes and problems with technology as well as brainstorming how to engage in old-school face-to-face conversation. Bear Creek's Middle School Dean of Students Nathan Pettit and Science Department Chair Donna Dunn will lead the conversation. Parents, teenagers, and tweenagers are all invited.
Intended audience: parents and students in grades 5 through 12.
Donna Dunn has taught science at Bear Creek since 1997, after spending several years researching viral-borne diseases for the Centers for Disease Control in Colorado. She is Bear Creek’s Science Department Chair and teaches AP Biology and Marine Biology. Her four children are Bear Creek alumni. She holds a B.S. Microbiology from Oregon State University and an M.S. Molecular Biology from Colorado State University.
Early Middle School and Middle School Dean of Students Nathan Pettit works with the faculty, staff, and students to develop, implement, and oversee programs, events, and activities that enhance the faith, community, and character of the students. He is a devoted husband and father to his wife and two sons. He holds a B.A. Biblical Languages and an M.A. Biblical Studies from Northland International University as well as an M.A. Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College.
Tools for Success is a seminar series at which Bear Creek faculty will speak on a variety of parenting and academic topics. These sessions focus on subjects ranging from preschool to college planning.
This online event is free and open to the public.
