Converge Dance Festival is a yearly contemporary dance festival, shining the spotlight on emerging and up-and-coming choreographic voices. Converge 2019 ran at Velocity Dance Center’s Founders Theater May 17 & 18, 2019 with four shows to filled houses. To offer more access to contemporary dance and bring high-quality dance to the UDistrict, Converge has partnered with UHeights to bring audiences an encore performance of Converge Dance Festival at tickets being offered at sliding-scale, starting at FREE. Aside from four of six’s Converge 2019 artists, the evening on May 28 2019 will also feature additional, known in the Seattle dance scene choreographers for an evening of thought-provoking dance performances.
Converge 2019 artists include: Caitlyn Lamdin, Beth Terwilleger, Meredith Pellon, and Ellensburg Dance Collective. Featured guest artists include: PRICEarts, Sarah Alaways, Intrepidus, and Elise Meiners.
