Kirkland Urban has teamed up with Food Lifeline, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington. Kirkland Urban hosts a recurring food drive, weekly on Thursdays throughout May.
Communities of color have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, including our immigrant and refugee communities. This month, the focus of the food drive will be to bring in culturally relevant food and pantry items. Members of the community are encouraged to spread the word on the issue of hunger and donate shelf-stable and canned goods to Kirkland Urban between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursdays throughout May. The donation station will be in Fountain Court, near QFC and Shake Shack and 100% of donations benefit Food Lifeline.
