Woodland Park Zoo has butterflies! The seasonal Molbak’s Butterfly Garden has been back at the zoo since May 24. But catch them while you can, because the last day to see the butterflies is Monday, September 2.
Molbak’s Butterfly Garden is nothing short of a magical experience — guests can take a walk among hundreds of free-flying butterflies inside an enclosed space measuring nearly 3,000 square feet, all while surrounded by beautiful flowers. Here, guests learn about the life cycle of butterflies while watching new butterflies emerge from chrysalises before flying free in the garden.
Take a few steps behind Molbak’s Butterfly Garden to enjoy the year-round Microsoft Pollinator Patio. This garden is full of ideas and actions to take on behalf of native pollinators such as hummingbirds, beetles, bees and flies.
