Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad is thrilled to announce its reopening with train excursions running between Elbe and Mineral for a limited time in September and October!  We’re bringing back the tradition of unforgettable steam train excursions, through the heart of Washington State.

Take a step back in time and ride on a vintage train, pulled by a steam locomotive through the breathtakingly beautiful Pacific Northwest landscape. With stunning views of mountains, farmland, and surrounding forests, this is a journey that you’ll never forget.

Scenic Train Ride: A 1 hour and 15 minute, 12-mile round trip excursion is a journey through forest landscapes, aboard our vintage train. This simple train ride offers an express trip (no layover) from Elbe to Mineral 

Our historic train set is led by 100 year-old steam engine, Polson 70, and features an open air car, two historic Pullman passenger coaches, and our baggage car – outfitted as a gift shop and concession stand.
