Nature Walk in Magnuson Children’s Garden

Calendar/Event Details

Free Nature Walk in Magnuson Children’s Garden, all about bees, butterflies, and other pollinators!

Join us for a Sunday morning nature walk in the Children’s Garden, led by Seattle Audubon Master Birders and Magnuson Children’s Garden volunteers!

Kids and parents will have fun learning about bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators while exploring the garden and the nearby Magnuson P-Patch!

Did you know that there are bees that are as tiny as a grain of rice, that pollinate many of our favorite food crops?  There is a special, butterfly-shaped Pollinator Garden right in the middle of the Children’s Garden, filled with flowers that attract and feed our native pollinators, and the adjacent Native Plant Border and P-Patch also have beds devoted to pollinator plants.

The walk starts at the Magnuson Children’s Garden, at the picnic tables near the shed.  There is plenty of parking in the nearby W-6 parking lot.  No pre-registration necessary.
