Outdoor Trek is an episode of the Original Series of Star Trek adapted for live outdoor theater and performed for free in Seattle’s Blanche Lavizzo Park! Hello Earth Productions tries to celebrate the diversity and optimism of Star Trek by color/size/gender/age/ability/etc conscious casting and a diy aesthetic that brings the ideals of Star Trek closer to home. We also have a live band, an opening act at 6pm, and a hotdog stand.
This year's episode is "Day of the Dove", which includes laughing, dancing, and sword-fighting. Younger children may consider the alien scary, and there's a moment when a Klingon's clothes get ripped, but the show is great for families!
