Get personal with a festival celebrating The Outwin 2016: American Portraiture Today, which has traveled to TAM from the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery. This is the first time that this national portrait competition has been on view outside of Washington, D.C., and TAM is the only West Coast location for the show. Hear rapid fire presentations about the appeal of contemporary portraiture from local artists, practice figure drawing with a live model, create haiku pairings with artwork, and pose for a Polaroid portrait! TAM’s galleries are open and free all day, too.
