Join us for an interactive story event present by A Step Ahead, Children’s Museum of Tacoma & The Tacoma School of Arts with Loraine Maida.  Watch & Hear the story performed & sung by Tacoma School of Arts students. 

March 17: Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?- Enjoy interactive displays inspired by the story including Ice Encased story animals to explore, passport booklets with Seek & Find story animals & stickers, animal costumes, hats & face painting, animal sound switches, animal habitats, place & watch animals fly through compressed air chutes, make polar bear art, go down the giant animal slide and participate in Zookeeper activities like scat scooping.

April 28: The Very Hungry Caterpillar- Enjoy interactive displays inspired by the story including climbing through the story and counting what The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate, then emerge wearing butterfly wings, go inside a life sized Butterfly Terrarium where children can dance with scarves and act like butterflies, go down the Very Hungry Caterpillar slide, where children can feed the giant caterpillar foods from the book and then slide through, face painting and personalized butterfly necklaces, create your own butterflies with watercolors & pipettes.  Free Copy of the Book by Eric Carle while supplies last (One Copy Per Family Please)
