Enjoy traditionally prepared Japanese sukiyaki at this popular, decades-old community event. Sukiyaki is a one-pot dish of thinly sliced beef, tofu, clear noodles and assorted vegetables simmered in a sweet soy sauce-based broth. It's cooked on-site and served with Japanese rice and pickled vegetables.
Also on the menu: chicken teriyaki, miso soup, mochi (sweet rice) cupcakes and mochi ice cream.
Dine at community tables or take out and enjoy at home. Proceeds support the temple.
The lunch lasts just four hours, so don't miss your once-a-year chance to savor sukiyaki yourself.
