Toe Walking Explained with Bothell Pediatric and Hand Therapy

Calendar/Event Details

What exactly is toe walking, why do children do it, is it something to be concerned about, and what can be done to help a child develop a healthy gait?

Toe walking is not something a child will just grow out of, and left unaddressed, it will affect their ability to meet important developmental milestones. Join us online November 19th @ 7pm on Zoom to learn about this gait abnormality, and what can be done to correct it, so your child can successfully meet their motor milestones as they grow.

What we'll cover:

  • Early walking milestones to keep an eye on
  • Normal gait pattern vs toe walking
  • Various causes of toe walking
  • Correlations with other developmental delays
  • The importance of early intervention, and what can be done for older children
  • When to seek treatment and how it can help

Parents, grandparents, educators, friends, providers & caregivers welcome
