Learn embroidery skills from AMcE artist Jan Waldon of Hey Lady Art Studios!
Class details: Bring your postcards, photos, paper, needle, scissors, tape, thread (embroidery or other), and your imagination! Jan will provide all embroidery information and tips on how to sew on paper and postcards, which can be quite different from sewing on fabric.
This is a virtual event on Zoom, and a recording of the class will also be provided to you afterward for your reference.
Hey Lady (Jan Waldon) is a Bentonville, Arkansas-based artist who stiches wildly amusing and gorgeously captivating imagery on found antique photos and postcards. Her work is currently on view in AMcE’s Home & Away exhibition (through January 8, 2022). The workshop will include an artist talk up top, and participants can ask questions about her practice, work and the embroidery lesson during the workshop.
