From Jane Nelson's Positive Discipline book:
“To discipline well, should we make children feel worse first?”
“Where did we ever get the crazy idea that in order to make children do better, first we have to make them feel worse?"
"Think of the last time you felt humiliated or treated unfairly. Did you feel like cooperating or doing better?”
Parenting can be challenging. Sometimes we don’t:
• Know which parenting approach is best.
• Know whose parenting advice to trust.
• Agree with our co-parent.
Just what is Positive Discipline? This is a positive parenting approach that is based upon the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics. It is effective, encouraging and kind. It makes parenting easier and strengthens family relationships. Discipline means to teach.
This FREE parenting talk will introduce the Positive Discipline approach.
Using this approach will ease the stress of parenting:
Less stress → More happiness → More love all around
“I think I love you more.” From one child to his mom after class.

• Discipline more effectively: Teach for next time.
• Be more encouraging.
