"My son is a hands-on learner."
"My daughter remembers things best when she reads."
Teachers and parents often classify kids as Auditory, Visual, or Kinesthetic learners. But there’s a lot of research showing “learning styles” are actually a bust, and categorizing your kid won’t improve their ability to learn (or their test scores!). With so many misconceptions, we want to set the record straight on how your child learns best.
Author and Educator Ann Dolin, M.Ed., will discuss peeling away the labels to better help kids absorb and understand the material. She will be joined by Education Specialist, Anne-Stuart Kirkhorn. Anne-Stuart speaks to parents each day and understands the trends in classrooms across school districts and the way in which students’ learning has changed since Covid.
At this free virtual event on Dec. 6th at 1 PM ET, Ann and Anne-Stuart will discuss:
✓ The most effective study strategies all learners should master
✓ The scaffolding, or layering, method to help your student mesh their preferences with other activities to better challenge their brain
✓ How to turn passive studying sessions into active and engaging learning sessions
✓ Why the more styles of learning a child is exposed to, the less likely they are to forget the material
