FREE Wetlands Walk, all about Beavers plus Fun with Fungi!
Join us for a Sunday morning Wetlands Walk, led by Beavers Northwest staff, Seattle Audubon Master Birders, Magnuson Children’s Garden volunteers, and a special guest expert on Pacific NW fungi!
Now that the colorful leaves are drifting down from the trees in the wetlands, it’s much easier to see the dams, lodge, cut saplings, and other “handiwork” that Magnuson’s resident beavers have been working on all year. You’ll be amazed!
It’s also a fabulous time to see the annual fall “explosion” of mushrooms and other fungi that spring up along the wetland trails. You’ll see beautiful shelf fungi on downed logs, puffballs poking up through the wood chip mulch, many mushroom species, and more. Our special guest expert will help you learn fun facts and identification skills all along the way!
