Could there be a breast cancer vaccine?

Published on: December 30, 2013

Thrilling, hopeful news just now splashing across the wires:

From USA Today: "An immunologist at Cleveland Clinic says he believes he has discovered a vaccine that could prevent breast cancer, WKYC reports. Dr. Vincent Tuohy, who led the research, says 10 months of tests on genetically engineered mice predisposed to breast cancer found that 100% of those not immunized had breast tumors and none of the mice immunized had any."

And from Fox News: U.S. scientists developed a vaccine that could prevent breast cancer and save the lives of millions of women, Sky News reported Monday. The treatment was tested on mice and showed "overwhelmingly favorable results.”

Oooohhhh! Shook me right outta my Monday morning mood!
