In honor of the beginning of spring's arrival (Sunday, March 20), Pike Place Market will be celebrating their 14th annual Daffodil Day Giveaway today, beginning at 11:15 a.m.

Pike Market Childcare students and the market's community members will be handing out 12,000 Pike Place farmer-grown daffodils to passersby, shoppers and anyone else who could use a cheerful smile and a beautiful spring bloom today.

Want a bright daffodil to help complete your "it's-almost-spring" Friday? Here's where you can expect to see free flowers and plenty of smiling faces:

  • Pacific Place -- corner of Sixth Ave. and Pine St.
  • Benaroya Hall/Post Office -- corner of Third Ave. and Union St.
  • City Hall -- corner of Fourth Ave. and Cherry St.
  • Central Library -- corner of Fourth Ave. and Madison St.
  • Wells Fargo Center -- Corner of Third Ave. and Marion St.
  • Westlake Tower -- corner of Fifth Ave. and Olive St.
  • City Centre -- Fifth Ave. and Pike St.
