Video: Google Chrome's "It Gets Better" ad touches millions

Typically I don't find myself with much TV time on the weekdays, but last night was one of those rare nights where I was home alone in a quiet house with nothing better to do than watch Glee. Last night's episode alone was well worth it -- covering the damage and havoc that high school rumors can cause, paired rightfully with songs from the Fleetwood Mac album, Rumours.

But besides the fact that I got to rekindle my love for old favorite songs that I hadn't thought about since college, I also had the pleasure of catching Google Chrome's first short film ad, featuring one of our 2011 superheroes, Dan Savage, and the It Gets Better Project. As the first ad to be offered in Google Chrome's "The Web is What You Make of It" series, the "Google Chrome: It Gets Better Project" film includes a compilation of "It Gets Better" personal messages and videos that people from around the world have made in support of this important goal.

And though we typically don't highlight commercials, this is one that is truly not to be missed. It absolutely made my night; it brought tears to my eyes; it left me smiling even as I was brushing my teeth before bed and it's quite possibly the most beautiful television commercial that I have ever seen. If you're yet to have seen it, it's a serious must -- and I can only hope that you'll find it as remarkably touching as I did.
