ParentMap editor Linda Morgan talks to King 5 about playdates -- why they're important, and how to set them up. Her tips for successful playdates:
1. Invite a friend your child already knows.
2. Set guidelines so kids know what to expect, and have your child take some responsibility for her friend.
3. Have a new activity to introduce -- but ask kids what they'd like to do.
4. Stay in the same room as very young kids, and within earshot of older kids.
