King County Library System offers free educational workshops on Early Literacy in Spanish. Fiestas de Alfabetización Temprana en Español or Early Literacy Parties in Spanish are series of eight free weekly workshops in Spanish. Each Fiesta will teach parents and caregivers about Early Literacy and how to prepare children for Kindergarten. Workshops take place at four library locations: Foster on Wednesdays, Issaquah and Redmond on Thursdays and Algona-Pacific on Saturdays. Free books in Spanish are provided each week. Registration is not required, though space is limited. Families with children are welcome though childcare is not available. Free craft materials and snacks.
