This is an all day outing including a lesson for beginners and free time in the snow. Transportation will be provided. Equipment IS NOT provided. For info on rentals please attend the Jan 22nd lecture or contact Lance Young a t206-363-0859. This course, offered by TRACKS and 1 World Outings, is for anyone looking to start cross country skiing! A great activity for all ages, we'll show you the basics and open the doors to trips throughout the winter. The course consists of one weekday evening lecture and a full-day weekend instructional field trip. You may attend one or both. Lecture: Thursday January 22nd, Highland Community Center, 7-8:30pm; We will cover the basic how-tos of planning a trip, choosing and renting gear, and getting started on your skis. Field trip: February 28th, Transportation provided, meet at the Highland Community Center. This will be a full day trip with a beginner lesson and plenty of time to explore on your own. All ages welcome, though children must be accompanied by an adult. 8am-5pm. *Gear is not provided, you must obtain your own equipment prior to trip. For rental advice please attend the lecture.
