Magnuson Children's Garden Free Family Day - Earth Month Celebration

Calendar/Event Details

Saturday, April 13th from 10am-2pm: Our annual Earth Month Celebration!

• From 10am-2pm, we will host a community stewardship event, with a variety of activities that will help sustain the garden. We provide tools and gloves for kids and adults, and refreshments for all volunteers!
All Master Gardener and Seattle P-Patchers can count their hours towards their annual program requirements, and service-learning students are welcome too!

• From 11am-12noon, we will host our first Family Garden Class of the Year! Master Gardener Tanya White will teach kids and parents about growing edible plants and take everyone on a delicious "snack walk" to our p-patch plot. Then everyone will get to make their own snacking garden container in a colorful reusable sack!

• From 12noon-2pm, we'll host garden and nature activities for the whole family, such as exploring the worm bin, making nature art, building in the log pile, and more!

• All ages and abilities are welcome, and no registration is necessary.
