The not-for-profit, non-sectarian Search Institute of Minnesota has identified 40 Developmental Assets that are the positive building blocks for children’s lives. Some of the identified assets are: positive family communication, caring school climate, boundaries and expectations, being involved in creative activities, having integrity and resistance skills.
