Come by to see the magical window at Nancy's Sewing Basket featuring dolls wearing wonderful hand-crafted outfits of fourteen inspiring women from history. You will see Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Josephine Baker, Queen Elizabeth I, Harriet Tubman, Pocahontas, Anne Bonney, Maria Merian, Elizabeth Blackwell, Wilma Rudolf, Ada Lovelace, Misty Copeland, Annie Oakley and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Each costumed doll is featured with a copy of their picture book biography, provided by the Queen Anne Book Company.
This is the fourth year of the "Share the Joy!" doll clothes raffle for Mary's Place. Nancy's Sewing Basket and Queen Book Company are collaborating again this year to raise money for Mary's Place Seattle. Purchasing a $2.00 raffle ticket at Nancy's or Queen Anne Books will enter you to win the outfit and book for a famous woman, all proceeds go to Mary's Place. The outfits fit most 18" dolls, the dolls themselves are not included in the raffle.
