Celebrate trees and their many contributions to our community by giving them a helping hand at Bellevue Arbor Day! In addition to planting trees and other native plants, we'll be freeing parts of the park from noxious weed species that threaten our urban forests. This event also celebrates Bellevue's annual recertification as a "Tree City USA" community by the Arbor Day Foundation.
Volunteer projects will be held rain or shine, but may be cancelled if extreme weather conditions are in the forecast. Each child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult (i.e., 1:1 ratio) and cannot be left unattended with city staff when the project ends. All volunteers must sign (or have signed by their parent or legal guardian) a liability waiver. High school students ages 14+ may attend volunteer projects unaccompanied, provided they bring appropriate paperwork signed by a parent or legal guardian and have preregistered. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to project start time to get checked in.
Registration: Register all attendees on the Bellevue environmental stewardship volunteer calendar, https://bellevuewa.gov/volunteering/environmental-stewardship.
Meeting Place: 1790 Richards Road, Bellevue, WA 98005
